I

Poems paired with the California to Las Vegas desert skies that carried me 2013 to 2025

Clouds among the beings,uncertainty beginning.Loneliness is seething,

closeness is always slipping.

Driving through the mountains,thoughts become the fountains.The beauty of a landscape is what my heart desires now.

The search is for the truth— thoughts consume my lifeline. I’m close to drought and sun; takes years to unlock lifetimes.

I stopped to meditate,got lost in bush and sunshine.The rear-view mirror hidesa past that brightly shined once.

The desert was the yoga It led me to the right path. The desert held my pain and drank away my raindrops.

Where once there were two rainbows, there’s only hope, not rainfall.
